Mr.Whitlock is a renowned and highly regarded wildlife artist and marine illustrator who has been given the rare opportunity to truly do what he loves and for which he holds a true passion.  Steve grew up in the everglades region of Florida and uses his many years as a fishing guide and sportsman as a basis for his work as he has spent years and countless hours fishing, hunting, studying and exploring many places most people may never see but through the eyes of a true and dedicated artist.

Although better known for his work showcasing Southeastern and Bahamian waters, his love for fishing and everything outdoors has led him all over the world granting him diverse perspective and a unique opportunity to bring his visions to life on canvas for all to benefit.  Steve's award winning and highly acclaimed original "chartwork" (Steve's signature design of illustrating on navigational charts) have been featured over a broad range of media, found and featured in several magazines and publications and may be found in several retail stores including Bass Pro Shops and Bealls department stores.

Steve has been the recipient of several prestigious awards, has a strong belief in giving back and has been very generous to many key organizations in their efforts to raise funds and awareness for the outdoors.  He has also worked with clients like the Coastal Conservation Association, the National Rifle Association, Century Boats, Hell's Bay Boatworks and Bertram Yachts just to name a few and has recently partnered with Team Marine USA to bring his original and unique brand of artwork to a larger and more diverse audience nationwide.
